CHRISTMAS BASKETS
Baskets of food and toys are provided for families at Christmas. The Oaks Bottom Lions Club works with local elementary schools to determine recipients of the baskets. For information on this project contact Lion Eliane Turck at [email protected]
Portland Oaks Bottom also assists the Milwaukie Lions Club with its Christmas Basket project as well.
SIGHT AND HEARING
As with many other Lions Clubs around the world, the Oaks Bottom Lions Club arranges for Sight and Hearing assistance for those in financial need. This service can be a simple eye or hearing exam, a pair of eyeglasses or hearing aids or surgery to restore sight or hearing through the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation.

PEACE POSTERS
Lions Clubs International sponsors an International Peace Poster Contest each year. The contest is open to students, age 11-13. The Oaks Bottom Lions Club participates in this program through the elementary schools in our service area. In January Lions help restock local food banks. April is Membership for Service month. In May, when Lions gather for the state convention, a big donation of books is make to a local library near the site of the convention.
